The Airport Commission has the power and duty to act in an advisory capacity to the City Council in all matters pertaining to the administration, operation, development, improvement and maintenance of the Riverside Municipal Airport and the Riverside Heliport. The Airport Commission is comprised of nine volunteers, with at least one representative from each Council Ward. In addition, each volunteers for an open seat and is nominated and selected by the Mayor and City Council. The Commission is an advisory body only, making recommendations to the City Council. Each term is for four years and only two terms may be served consecutively.
The Airport Commission meets the second Wednesday of each month at 3 p.m. in the Airport Conference Room.
