On July 4, 2012, “Front Row Fireworks” a Founders’ Day fundraiser will be at the Evergreen Memorial Historic Cemetery. “Front Row Fireworks” will once again take place in the restored cemetery at the foot of Mount Rubidoux, the stage for Riverside’s largest fireworks on the 4th of July. Just as citizens formerly gathered for meetings and celebrations in this central location decades ago, Riverside residents gather to enjoy a picnic, watch the beautiful fireworks, and enjoy the community of their neighbors and friends.
Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children 3-11, with children 2 and under admitted for free. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic foods and spread blankets on the grass, Food and cold drinks, including In N Out Burger, will also be available for purchase, as well as games and fun for kids and guided walking tours of the historic cemetery. Proceeds will benefit the non-profit Evergreen Memorial Historic Cemetery for continued improvements and maintenance.
