Friday:
National History Day California competition for elementary, middle, and high school students. Competition takes place Friday and Saturday at the Convention Center. Public viewing of exhibits from 8 pm to 10 pm on Friday. Variety of activities for students, some of which will be open to the public.

Saturday:
History themed free public activities to support National History Day California competition. Sons of the America Revolution historical reenactments including march down Main Street from 5th at 1:30 pm and 3:15 pm. Cannon volleys at 2 pm and 3:45 pm at Main by University with speech by George Washington following. Yesteryears dancers performing at 1:15 pm, 2:30 pm, and 4 pm on Main near 6th. Free public activities also include presentation by Martin Dugard, Author of 'Killing Lincoln', at 6:30 pm on Convention Center Plaza and showing of movie, ‘Captain America’, at north end of the Convention Center Plaza around 7:30 pm (depending on sunset).
