UCR Professor James Dieterich is the principal investigator of a five-year grant from the National Science Foundation along with researchers at UCR, Brown, Columbia, USC, San Die-go State, UC San Diego and the US Geological Survey (USGS). His team is developing and us-ing large-scale computer simulations to investigate earthquake fault systems.
