Leadership Riverside, Alumni Class of 2012, founders of Sheltering heARTS, announces the 2nd Annual Sheltering heARTS fundraising gala event benefiting Riverside County’s Path of Life homeless and transitional shelters. This major fundraiser provides much-needed funds to assist Path of Life in delivering critical programs that rescue, restore and rebuild the lives of homeless individuals and families in Riverside County. In 2012, the premiere event raised over $71,000. "Community-organized events like Sheltering heARTS are true testimonials to how Riverside is Seizing its Destiny,” said Riverside Mayor Rusty Bailey. “This event strengthens local giving to help our own – to change the course of homelessness with family support, job training and short-term housing assistance.” According to former Riverside Mayor, Ronald O. Loveridge, “Last year’s event was a night filled with purpose and emotion – to raise awareness about homelessness in Riverside. The Sheltering heARTS event provided an opportunity to have fun, but more importantly, to build key relationships to support Path of Life services in Riverside.”
Sheltering Hearts is honored to bring keynote guest, Laura Schroff, to Riverside, California.
