Description

Ryan Bonaminio Park at the Tequesquite Arroyo Grand Opening Ceremony

The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department invites you to the Ryan Bonaminio Park at the Tequesquite Arroyo Grand Opening Ceremony on Saturday, June 29 at Ryan Bonaminio Park located at 4704 Tequesquite Avenue (corner of Palm and Tequesquite Ave.).

The grand opening ceremony will take place at 4:00 p.m. A barbeque dinner will be provided and there will be several baseball games taking place throughout the afternoon.

The approximately 43.65 acre Ryan Bonaminio Park site at the Tequesquite Arroyo is bounded by Tequesquite Avenue, Wong Street and Palm Avenue.  Ryan Bonaminio Park includes two (2) lighted ballfields, two (2) lighted basketball courts, three (3) reservable picnic shelters, a children’s playground, walking paths, restrooms, concession stand and parking.  Pedestrian access from the surrounding neighborhoods has been enhanced with the provision of a pedestrian crossing on Palm Avenue.  Street improvements have been completed on the three (3) streets adjacent to the park. The park improvements are fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).  Additionally, the park includes a trailhead and staging area for the Santa Ana River Trail; an Asian Garden designed to commemorate Riverside’s Chinatown; an alkali meadow that has been restored; and a community garden. The project also included extensive water quality improvements designed to filter water before it reaches the Santa Ana River.
