Description

These site-specific performances, to be held outside the Culver Center for the Arts and on the Main Street pedestrian walkway between the Mission Inn and the Culver Center, will feature solos and small group dances by local Riverside and Los Angeles artists. The performances will be part of the joint conference between the Congress on Research in Dance and the Society of Dance History Scholars, which will also commemorate the 20th anniversary of the PhD program in Critical Dance Studies at UC Riverside. The goal of the on-site performances is to link the Riverside community to the conference. All performances will be open to the public. No set-up is required, as all artists will bring their own portable equipment for use as needed.
