Measure V on November 2 ballot

On July 27, the Riverside City Council placed Measure V on the
November 2 ballot.  Measure V is a hotel tax paid only by hotel
and motel guests.  Riverside residents, homeowners and property
owners - who are not hotel/motel guests - are NOT taxed.

 Fifty and Better Health Fair

The Janet Goeske Foundation in collaboration with the Riverside
Medical Clinic Foundation will host its fourth annual Fifty and
Better Health Fair on Wednesday, October 20, from 8 a.m.
to 3 p.m. at the Janet Goeske Senior Center
The Fair is FREE and open to the public.

La Sierra University Brandstater
Gallery presents Typography

Neon, steel, nylon kites, BandAids - these are among the materials
typeface designer and professor Andrew Byrom uses to create
his typographical works.  Byrom’s show “Upper Lower Open Closed:
The Experimental Typography of Andrew Byrom,” is on exhibit
through October 28 at La Sierra University’s Brandstater Gallery.
