20th Annual Riverside Festival of Lights
The 20th Annual Riverside Festival of Lights on Main Street Riverside is your chance to experience the most dazzling holiday spectacle south of the North Pole. The Festival offers five weeks of holiday merriment in Downtown Riverside from November 23 to January 5, celebrating the season with family activities that include holiday decorations and lights on The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa, Mission Inn Avenue and on City-owned buildings; the Inland Empire’s first outdoor ice skating rink; horse-drawn carriage rides; holiday-themed vendors; family-friendly live entertainment; and of course, Santa Claus.
80s Rock at the Fox Featuring Berlin & Patty Smyth and Scandal
Enjoy a night of 80s rock at the Fox on Friday, November 30 at 8 p.m. For fans of electronic music – and the wave of style and pop culture that followed the 80s – dynamic Berlin vocalist Terri Nunn is an icon. Berlin achieved worldwide success when the romantic ballad "Take My Breath Away" was prominently featured in the major motion picture Top Gun. Oscar and Grammy nominated Patty Smyth and Scandal first burst onto the scene in 1982 with a self-titled EP that produced a pair of hits in "Goodbye to You," a #1 MTV video, and "Love's Got a Line on You."
Riverside Education Enrichment Foundation Craft Fair
Come out for a day of family fun while supporting REEF -- the Riverside Educational Enrichment Foundation, which gives thousands of dollars in grants supporting our schools. The REEF Craft Fair at Martin Luther King High School (9301 Wood Rd., Riverside, CA 92508) on Saturday, December 1 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. will feature nearly 100 booths from vendors offering a variety of handcrafted goods as well as food booths. Santa Claus and his elves and live entertainment will be featured. This is a great opportunity to find unique holiday gifts while supporting education. Admission is free.
31st Annual Alternative Gift Fair
Set your sights on some holiday gift shopping at the Alternative Gift Fair from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 2 at the First United Methodist Church of Riverside (4845 Brockton Ave., Riverside, CA 92506). This is your place for handmade gifts and non-profit causes, live music, and homemade soup. This fair has been a tradition in Riverside for more than 30 years. Many faith communities and non-profit organizations set up booths to sell handmade or sustainably produced gifts that are a fabulous alternative to mall shopping this holiday season.
Masters of Harmony Holiday Season Celebration at the Fox
These celebrated masters of a cappella choral music return to the Fox on Sunday, December 2 at 3 p.m. with their ever-popular annual presentation of Christmas carols and other seasonal songs. From the opening curtain, this eight-time International Champion chorus radiates joy, enthusiasm and love that entertains and impresses every time they take the stage.
