Riverside Arts Walk
The Riverside Arts Walk is a free community event that
happens every first Thursday of the month and celebrates
the diversity of arts and culture in Riverside and the
Inland Empire. Become a part of the pulse Thursday,
February 7 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and visit over 22
downtown locations, including museums, galleries and
studios, presenting an eclectic mix of visual and
performing arts. And either before or after, enjoy the
many entertainment, dining and shopping experiences that
downtown Riverside has to offer.
Performance Riverside presents “Hello, Dolly!” on
Friday, February 8 at 8 p.m. “Hello, Dolly!” is a
cheerful and irresistible story of the joy of living,
glittering with happy songs, loving scenes, and one of
the greatest icons of the musical stage, Dolly Gallagher
Levi! “Put On Your Sunday Clothes”, “Before the Parade
Passes By”, “Elegance”, “It Only Takes a Moment” and, of
course, “Hello, Dolly!” ignite this whirlwind race
around New York at the turn of the 20th century, as we
follow America's most beloved matchmaker!
Black History Parade
NAACP, Riverside African American Historical Society,
City of Riverside, Riverside Public Utilities and The
Black History Committee of Riverside present the 34th
Annual Black History Parade & Expo on Saturday, February
9 at 10 a.m. The Parade will begin at the corner of
Ramona Drive and Magnolia Avenue just off the campus of
Riverside City College and will conclude at 13th Street
and Main Street. The Expo will be held on Main Street
Riverside just outside City Hall, between 10th street
and University Avenue and bordering
Market Street and Orange Street.
"A Love Affair with Fashion"
IE Law presents "A Love Affair with Fashion" a Fashion
Show benefiting Operation SafeHouse on Saturday,
February 9 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The Tamale Factory
(3663 Main St., Riverside 92501). The event includes a
fashion show, silent auction, food, and no-host beer
tasting to raise funds for Operation SafeHouse!
Operation SafeHouse, with Community Support, provides
emergency shelter and long term intervention and
outreach services to youth in crisis. Tickets for the
event are $50 with all proceeds
benefiting Operation SafeHouse.
"An Evening with Brahms"
La Sierra University's chamber music series will present
"An Evening with Brahms" Saturday, February 9 at 7 p.m.,
at Hole Memorial Auditorium (4500 Riverwalk Pkwy.,
Riverside 92505). This concert will feature a top-flight
performance by six musicians: La Sierra’s Director of
String Studies Jason Uyeyama, violin; adjunct faculty
Juan Miguel Hernandez, viola; Searmi Park, violin; Eric
Byers, cello; Uriel Vanchestein, clarinet; Iris Malkin,
mezzo soprano. The program will include “Two Songs for
Alto, Viola, and Piano Op. 91,” “Clarinet Quintet in B
Minor Op. 115,” and “Piano Quintet in F Minor Op. 34.”
General admission $10; senior citizens $5.
"An Affair to Remember" Bridal Expo
Visit the first annual City of Riverside Parks and
Recreation Bridal Expo on Sunday, February 10 from 10
a.m. to 4 p.m. at the La Sierra Senior Center (5215-B La
Sierra Ave., Riverside 92505). This event features local
vendors for services including catering, bakeries, party
planners, DJs, photographers and much more! Wedding
experts will showcase products and services throughout
the day. Participants can also book the perfect Parks,
Recreation and Community Services Department wedding
venue at this event. The cost is $3 for pre-registration
and $5 for day of event.
