Riverside Metropolitan Museum Tour and Taste Fundraiser
The Annual Tour and Taste Fundraiser benefitting the Riverside Museum Associates will be Thursday, February 28 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Riverside Metropolitan Museum (3580 Mission Inn Ave., Riverside, CA 92501). The event features live music from jazz musician Vaughn Fahie, food from some of Riverside’s top restaurants, and an opportunity to tour the many exhibits throughout the Museum including the new and impressive John Muir exhibit. Mayor's Night Out
Mayor Bailey invites you to join him at his first Mayor’s Night Out on February 28 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Ismael Villegas Community Center (3091 Esperanza St., Riverside, CA 92504). Mayor’s Night Out provides an opportunity for you to meet your Mayor, City Council Member, City Manager and many other departments that will be in attendance and ready to respond to your questions. Mayor’s Night Out is a great way to learn about projects and programs happening in your neighborhood, meet your neighbors and hear their concerns, and learn what can be done to make your neighborhood a better place for you and your family to live. A child care area will be open from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Dennis DeYoung at the Fox
Fox Performing Arts Center presents “Dennis DeYoung: The Music of Styx” on Friday, March 1 at 8 p.m. Dennis is a founding member of Styx. He wrote and sang lead on seven of the band's eight Top 10 hits. DeYoung is also recognized as a legendary singer, songwriter, keyboardist, composer and record producer with a career spanning over 40 years. The performance showcases the Greatest Hits spanning the 70's, 80's, and 90's performed live with Dennis and his six member band.

Tickled Pink Comedy Dinner Show hosted by Rainn Wilson
Inland Agency presents “Tickled Pink”, a comedy dinner show on Saturday, March 2 hosted by Rainn Wilson aka Dwight from "The Office" and other well-known celebrities to raise funds and awareness for The Pink Ribbon Place, a local breast cancer organization. The event will be held at the Riverside Auditorium and Events center and doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $90 each and includes dinner, show and a no-host bar.

Vector Control Ballot Measure
In March 2013, property owners will have the opportunity to vote to allow Northwest Mosquito and Vector Control District (Northwest) to provide services to the entire City of Riverside. Northwest would provide detection and treatment for mosquitoes, Africanized bees, rodents, flies, and other pests that carry infectious diseases like West Nike Virus and Yellow Fever. Ballots will be mailed on March 8 and a public hearing will be held on April 25 to provide more information.
