Benise at the Fox
Come enjoy the music of Benise at the Fox Performing Arts Center on Saturday, March 9 at 8 p.m. Benise's unique musical style and rock star vibe, holds his audiences captive with the help of exotic drums, Gypsy violin, Flamenco dancers, Brazilian Samba dancers and percussionists, African tribal drummers and Havana horns.
Winter Bird Watch
Join Wood Streets Green Team member and wildlife biologist Larry LaPre for a bird walk at Martha MacLean Anza Narrows, one of Riverside's newest city parks located along the Santa Ana River with views of the surrounding mountains. Meet in the first parking lot past the entrance. Bring binoculars if you have them, and water.
Vector Control Ballot Measure
In March 2013, property owners will have the opportunity to vote to allow Northwest Mosquito and Vector Control District (Northwest) to provide services to the entire City of Riverside. Northwest would provide detection and treatment for mosquitoes, Africanized bees, rodents, flies, and other pests that carry infectious diseases like West Nike Virus and Yellow Fever. Ballots will be mailed on March 8 and a public hearing will be held on April 25 to provide more information.
