Bike with the Mayor
Come meet Mayor Bailey and enjoy a family-friendly
bicycle ride this Saturday, May 4th
from 8 – 11 a.m. This bike route is approximately
8 miles long and will begin at Goodwin’s
Organic Foods & Drinks, and end at Sub Station. We will
make several stops along the way to
enjoy conversation and some places of interest.
13th Annual Battle of Distinction | UCR 909
In 1997, the seeds of Hip-Hop were planted at UCR
909 Hip Hop
Dance Troupe. Every year, 909 hosts an
annual hip-hop dance competition called
Ultimate Brawl: Battle of Distinction which
showcases some of the best dance teams
in California. This year’s competition will take place
this Saturday, May 4th at 6 p.m. at the
Fox Performing Arts Center.
Downtown Riverside Celebrates Cinco De Mayo
Join us for a fiesta of Mexican culture, art,
traditional dance and family fun this Saturday,
May 4th from 2 – 6 p.m. The free event kicks
off with performances by the Ballet Folklorico
dance group, followed by the Aztec dance group, and

Bike to School Day is a national event that gives
communities across the country the
opportunity to join together in bicycling to school on
the same day. On Wednesday, May 8th,
grab your bikes and help promote a healthy lifestyle as
well as the need for
safe routes to school.
