STEP, in association with Bourns, Inc., is proud to present the 2013 STEP Conference.
The Science and Technology Education Partnership (STEP) helps students, teachers, and professional
scientists work together to make science and math fun and exciting.
The Long Night of Arts & innovation was inspired by the Long Night of Science in our German sister city,
Erlangen. The inaugural Riverside Long Night of Arts & Innovation was held on Thursday, October 4, 2012.
The event’s 451 presentations ranged from an Instrument Petting Zoo to a lecture/demonstration by noted
University of California Riverside professor and “Avatar” movie consultant Jodie Holt.
The 2013 Long Night of Arts & Innovation will take place in downtown Riverside on Thursday, October 10
from 4 pm to midnight. This year’s event will be bigger and better, showcasing the best STEM and
creative arts projects from University of California Riverside, La Sierra University, Cal Baptist
University, Riverside Community College, Riverside (RUSD), Alvord (AUSD) school districts,
and many private schools. The 2013 event will also feature the most innovative technologies
deployed by companies like Bourns Inc., Siemens, SolarMax Technologies, and the fire and police
departments of the city of Riverside.
Celebrate a new kind of event as the Mayor's Ball becomes the Mayor's Celebration. It's about fun.
It's about Riverside's finest in the world of arts, technology, research and education.
It's about the City's newest entertainment venue...the Fox Entertainment Plaza. The event will
take place in the black box, showcase exhibit hall and promenade. Music, performance, exhibition,
dancing and a Taste of Riverside-style representation of some of the City’s best restaurants make
this an event that truly has something for everyone. Tickets are $75, which supports the Riverside
Arts Council and their Community Arts Partnership program, serving more than 60,000 residents
through grants provided to non-profit arts and cultural organizations.
Join us for this year's Citrus Classic Bike Ride. The event
features five great routes to choose from! Riders and the
community can enjoy dozens of vendor booths, local bands, food,
and festivities during the event. Event proceeds will directly
impact the student school experience, with the goals of
engaging students and motivating them to attend and be
successful in school and this, increase graduation rates.
Please join us October 14, 2013 for the SmartRiverside Seventh Annual Charity Golf Tournament
at the Victoria Club in Riverside. In 2007, SmartRiverside inaugurated the annual tournament
as the key fund-raising event to continuously support and expand the umbrella of programs
and services the non-profit organization offers. Last year's event, held on Columbus Day at
the Victoria Club, had over 130 participants from all over the country.
The event was also supported by over 100 corporate sponsors and contributors from the
greater Riverside area.
