For adults, citrus foods are available, since Mrs. Bettner ran this business from her house, along with stationery, soaps, china, and jewelry.

Heritage House memorabilia are also for sale such as Christmas ornaments, note cards, postcards, magnets, thimbles, pin cushions, mints, and tiles.

 

Children’s Corner

Merchandise chosen for the Gift Shop also features articles for children as well as for adults. Many examples of turn-of-the-century toys, including dominoes, sock monkeys, jacks, and marbles, fill the Children’s Corner, as well as coloring books and paper-doll books.

The books selected for children include those written during the time when the house was built. Those for adults emphasize Victorian architecture, customs, and clothing, as well as ancillary topics such as steamships, automobiles, airplanes, and local history. Most recently a collection of old-time cookbooks was added to the stock.
