Parking in Downtown Riverside

Parking in downtown Riverside during normal business hours is controlled by time limits and paid parking services such as curbside meters and City-managed lots and garages.

    Parking Structures
    • Monthly permits $60.00 per month
    • Reserved permit $135.00 per month

    • Monthly permits $40.00 per month
    • Reserved permit $135.00 per month
    Parking Structures & Lots Hourly Fees
    • First 90 minutes FREE
    • $1.00 each additional 30 minutes
    • $8.00 daily maximum
    Downtown Metered Area
    • $1.00 per hour
    RCOE Metered Area
    • $1.00 per hour
    Justice Center Metered Area
    • $1.50 per hour
    Evenings
    • $5.00 upon entry on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings from 9pm - 3am.

    Special Event Parking

    Special event parking fees help off-set the additional staffing and operational cost of operating the garages during high demand hours when events occur within the downtown area.

    City lots and on-street parking remains free after 5pm weekdays and weekends.

    Fox Theater Events
    • A flat fee of $5.00 upon entry is used during live events at the Fox Performing Arts Center occurring after 5pm on weekdays and anytime on weekends and holidays.
    Festival of Lights
    • A flat fee of $10.00 upon entry and $5.00 pre-paid online is used for the Festival of Lights event on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.

    Justice Center Metered Parking

    Justice Center Metered Parking
    • $1.50 per hour

    Justice Center Metered Parking uses the LUKE parking meters, offering improved customer convenience and reliability.

    With the LUKE parking meters you can:

    • Pay with bills, coins, tokens or credit cards
    • Pay at any meter for any space
    • Add time to a purchased space
    • Pay by Cell Phone Parking - To set up a one-time account, call 1-877-727-5932 or visit www.parkmobile.com. You may find this information displayed on the meter, and you may even use the Mobile App to set up your account. Don’t forget to check what parking zone you’re in to enter the correct number.


    • Luke Parking Meter You will need to use your receipt to add time at any meter. For assistance call Central Parking Systems at (951) 682-3167.

      Frequently Asked Questions

      Where can I park downtown and receive a validation from the City if I am doing business at City Hall?

      Lot 34 located off Tenth and Main Streets as well as other City-owned parking structures, which offer the first 90 minutes free. Also, after 5pm and weekends parking is free in the downtown area. The Downtown Parking Guide has additional information for parking downtown.

      There is a vehicle parked illegally (in a red zone, a permitted area with no permit, in a No Parking zone; can the City come out and cite the vehicle?

      Yes, if the vehicle is parked illegally the vehicle could be cited. You can call the 311 Call Center to report any parking violations.

      The parking meter is broken, do I have to pay? What do I do? Will I receive a parking citation if I park there anyway?

      If a meter is broken it is suggested that you park elsewhere. If there is a note on the meter you should be okay to park there without being cited. You could receive a citation if the meter has not been reported as having a problem. To report a broken meter, contact Central Parking Systems at (951) 682-3167.
