Illegal Dumping

truck illegally dumping materials in an open fieldThe City Council has determined that people who use vehicles to illegally dump waste matter, or transport waste matter for the purpose of illegally dumping it, bring decay and blight into the City's neighborhoods, create public health hazards, and invite more illegal dumping.

Did You Know? Illegal Dumping lowers property values—property values are lower in areas that have litter and dumping problems.

Such blight, decay, and unhealthful conditions adversely affect the quality of life for the City's residents, lead to a reduction in the values of their property, and invite criminal activity.

Riverside takes illegal dumping seriously! If you have any questions regarding illegal dumping please call the City Call Center at 826-5311.
