Riverside Police Department
National Night Out - Tuesday, August 6, 2013
The 30th Annual
National Night Out (NNO) is a community-wide crime prevention
program sponsored locally by the Riverside Police Department and our
local businesses.
NNO is
sponsored nationally by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW)
and TARGET. NNO is an annual event held
throughout the United States to promote cooperation between the police
and the community.
The Riverside Police Department invites you and your neighbors to be part of
National Night Out this year.
NNO
events are designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate
support for and participation in local anti-crime programs, strengthen
neighborhood spirit and police community partnerships, and send a message to
criminals letting them know that Riverside neighborhoods are organized and
fighting back.
Neighborhood social
events are being held throughout the
City from 6:00-9:00 P.M.
Police personnel will be out in force and visiting events that are registered
with the department.
Fire and City
personnel will also be participating in the activities.
Thanks to Target Stores of Riverside, the first five neighborhoods from each of the four areas of our city will receive a case of water and a $20 Target gift card to help with their events! So be sure to register your eve
nt as soon as possible.
