Opportunity With Education (OWE)

We OWE it to our kids.

Opportunity With Education (O.W.E.) Juvenile Intervention and Prevention Program, formerly Project PRIDE, is an intervention program facilitated by the Riverside Police Department in collaboration with local law enforcement agencies and community-based organizations. The cognitive behavioral intervention and prevention program takes a holistic approach with the juvenile and his or her family.

O.W.E. is a voluntary, non-custody, intensive, 16 consecutive week program for at-risk juveniles. Opportunity With Education is designed to positively redirect male and female at-risk youth between the ages of 10 and 17 through positive interaction with law enforcement and other  professionals. O.W.E. stresses choices and consequences, aids in building self-esteem, and breaks the cycle of criminal or negative behavior. The parent(s) and/or legal guardian(s) MUST fully support the program and the staff for their child to be enrolled.

O.W.E. is currently accepting applications for the upcoming class. Classes will be held on Saturdays from 07:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Riverside Community College. Classes start in September 2012 and continue for sixteen consecutive weeks.

Class size is limited and online registration is required. Please complete and submit the application below by August 31, 2012.
