Police Investigate Shooting

Riverside, Ca.- At about 9:30 p.m., Riverside Police Officers responded to a radio call of several gun shots heard in the area of Dwight and University. Officers arrived and found evidence relating to a shooting near the crime scene.

A few minutes later, Officers were dispatched to Riverside Community Hospital regarding two men with gun shot wounds. The two men had been shot at Dwight and University by an unknown person. One man had been shot in the arm, was treated and released. The other man had been shot in the groin and in the lower back, and was taken into the operating room. His condition was listed as critical.

Police evidence technicians responded to collect the evidence left at the shooting scene. No arrests were made.
