Police Investigate Attempt Murder

Riverside, Ca.-At about 6:20 p.m., Mar 11, Riverside Police officers responded to 6185 Pegasus Drive regarding a male subject who had been stabbed several times. Officers arrived and found Micheal Lamoraux, a 34 year old Riverside resident, huddled on a neighbor's porch suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Paramedics were called and rushed the victim to Riverside Community Hospital where he was at first listed in critical condition. He had suffered numerous superficial knife wounds, and a serious wound to the left lung. Medical staff said that the victim would survive the attack.

Witnesses told officers that they saw the victim walking and arguing with the suspect earlier. They reported seeing the suspect swinging at the victim near the apartment complex parking lot. Witnesses described the suspect as a male African American about 25 years old with long black hair. The suspect knew him only as "Blake."
