Injury Traffic Collision

Narrative: While exiting from E/B S-R 91 a Dodge Caravan (V-1) driven by D-1 collided with a Nissan Path Finder (V-2). The impact pushed the Pathfinder into a palm tree. V-1 continued N/B on Mulberry colliding with two other vehicles stopped at the red signal for N/B Mulberry at University Av. This impact pushed these two vehicles into two more vehicles which were in turn pushed into two more vehicles also waiting at the same red light. These two vehicles were then pushed into two more vehicles also at the same red light. There were a total of eight vehicles involved in this collision.

The driver of V-2 was transported to Riverside Community Hospital with multiple abrasions and possible internal injuries. The passenger in V-2 was transported to Riverside County Regional Medical Center with a complaint of neck and back pain. A third party in one of the last vehicles involved was transported to Riverside County Regional Medical Center with a complaint of pain to the ankle. At this point none of the injuries appear to be life threatening. The collision is being investigated by the Traffic Division of the Riverside Police Department.
