Riverside, CA –
On Tuesday, August 21, 2001 at approximately 12:45 p.m., a lone male suspect entered the Cal Fed Bank at 3580 Tyler Street and displayed a handgun to the bank teller and demanded money. The suspect, described as a white male, approximately 35 years old, 5’10", 210 lbs, and balding, exited the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash and left behind a suspicious package at the teller window.Bank management evacuated employees and customers and notified the police. Investigators arrived on scene and rendered the package safe. There were no injuries or property damage reported.
