Riverside, Ca- On 01-04-2001, officers went to the area of 5th and Commerce in reference to a report of a woman screaming for help. They located an adult female who said she had been raped by a man in the nearby industrial area. An area check located a crime scene in the vicinity near the railroad tracks. A broadcast of the suspect's description and his vehicle was put out on the police radio.
A short time later a patrol officer located the suspect and his vehicle. The suspect was taken into custody and after further investigation he was booked for the crime of rape by force. The victim was treated for minor scrapes and released from the hospital. The suspect is as follows:
