Riverside, Ca- On Tuesday June 05, 2001 at 9:10 A.M., Officers from the Riverside Police Department responded to an attempted robbery with shots fired at 9234 Magnolia, Palm Liquor. Upon arrival officers learned that a male suspect wearing a motorcycle helmet and armed with a handgun entered the business and approached the counter. The clerk armed himself with a handgun and exchanged rounds with the suspect. No one was injured during the exchange of gunfire. The entire event was captured on videotape.
The suspect was described as a White male, approximately 6’00", medium build, wearing dark clothing and a black full-face motorcycle helmet. The suspect was also wearing a backpack and carrying a red gas can.
