Riverside, Ca- On Wednesday, 03-28-01, at about 1820 hrs, personnel from the West County Narcotics Task Force served a search warrant at a residence in the 10900 block of Collett Avenue in the city of Riverside. Personnel located a functional methamphetamine lab and related chemicals. Investigators from the Riverside Police Department responded to process the scene.
Investigators seized 75 grams of finished meth with a street value of $6,000. We estimate the lab was capable of producing ounce quantities of methamphetamine per cook. The location is across the street from Collett elementary school.
Investigators arrested Thomas Jaehnig, 39 yrs of Riverside, for manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine for sale and for manufacturing a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school. He was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center.
