Riverside, Ca- May 15, 2001/1147 hrs. A lone suspect entered the Bank of America branch at 4601 La Sierra Ave. The suspect, posing as a customer, waited in line for an available teller window. The suspect approached a female teller, showed the teller a robbery note and demanded money. The victim complied with the robber's demands and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect calmly walked out of the bank through the east doors and disappeared.
The suspect was described as a black-female-adult in her thirties. She was further described as 5'07"-5'08", 140 lbs. The suspect wears a "fall" hairpiece and a bandana around her head. Her tall forehead and hairpiece gives her the appearance of a "Klingon" character from the television series Star Trek and investigators from the Riverside Police Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation have nicknamed her the "Klingon Bandit." The suspect has been linked to at least two other bank robberies in Western Riverside County. Witnesses have described her as "pretty" but investigators have not ruled out the possibility of a male suspect dressed as a woman. Photos and videotape of the suspect are available.
There is a REWARD of up to $5,000.00 being offered for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the "Klingon Bandit."
