Riverside, Ca. - On Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at approximately 6:45 P.M., officers from the Riverside Police Department responded to a report of shots fired and a man down in front of a residence in the 4400 block of Angelo. They arrived and found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body. Officer’s learned two subjects walked up to the victim on Martin Luther King Blvd. & Douglass, shouted gang slogans, then one of the suspects fired several rounds at the victim from a handgun. The suspects fled on foot from the area.
The suspects were identified as Black males, 16 to 18 years of age. The victim, identified as Antonio Hermosillo, 23-years-old, of Riverside, was transported to Riverside Community Hospital. He was listed as stable with non-life threatening wounds.
