Riverside,
Ca. - The City of Riverside and UCR police departments will be volunteering our
time to read books to elementary school kids on Thursday, February 28th and
Friday, March 1st. Over 30 sworn and civilian personnel will be participating in
this nationwide event by reading books to kids at twelve different schools
throughout the City of Riverside.
This event was created by the National Education Association that honors Dr. Seuss's birthday. His birthday actually falls on March 2nd, but is officially being celebrated on March 1st.
