Riverside, Ca- A
bus driver with the Riverside Transit Authority contacted her supervisor this
morning after finding an item a passenger left on the bus. The supervisor
believed the item might have been an explosive device and brought it to the
Orange Street Police Station.
The
Riverside Police Department’s Explosive Ordinance Detail responded and
determined the item was not an explosive device.
During
the investigation, vehicular and pedestrian traffic was temporarily redirected
to insure the public’s safety. No one was injured and no buildings were
evacuated during the incident.
