Riverside, Ca- At approximately 9:43 P.M. on Sunday, June 2, 2002, officers responded to a call of a gunshot victim in the 3600 Block of Chicago Ave. On arrival they discovered a 35-year-old Hispanic male from Riverside with gunshot wounds to both legs. He was treated at the scene and transported by AMR ambulance to Riverside Community Hospital. His wounds did not appear to be life threatening.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his late 20’s, wearing blue jeans and a white T-shirt. The suspect was last seen running through the alley towards Linden.
No arrests have been made at this time. The motive for the shooting appears to be attempted robbery. The Riverside Police Department Robbery unit is investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the Riverside Police Department Robbery unit at (909) 320-8000.
