Attempted Homicide

Riverside, Ca-  On May 12, 2002 at approximately 2106 hours, police officers responded to a 911 call at a residence located in the 6800 block of Glendale Court, Riverside. According to victims and witnesses, ten (10) to fifteen (15) subjects were gathered in or around a garage at the residence. The subjects were drinking beer and listening to music. A lone male adult (later identified as Martin Angelo Juarez) arrived on foot and approached the group.

After a brief conversation, Juarez produced a handgun and began shooting at the group. Four (4) people received gunshot injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment. The injured people included three (3) adult male victims that have been admitted to the hospital after surgery and one (1) 17-year-old female victim who was treated and released.

The suspect has been identified as:

Martin Angelo Juarez DOB 3/24/1980
Male Hispanic Ht:5í01" Wt: 130 lbs. Hair: Black Eyes: Brown
Last seen wearing dark clothing and a black baseball hat.

The suspect is an active parolee. A probable cause want exists for the suspectís arrest. An arrest warrant is pending for four (4) counts of attempt homicide. The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
