Riverside, Ca- On 10-11-02 at 10:35 am, officers from the Riverside Police Department responded to the La Noria Market located at 6100 Van Buren Blvd regarding an armed robbery, which had just occurred.
The victim reported that two black males entered the business armed with handguns and demanded cash. The suspects took cash from the business and fled west on Cypress Ave. away from the business. A witness described the get-away vehicle as a 1980’s model Chevy mini-blazer or Jimmy, 2 doors, black in color.
The suspects were described as follows:
#1 Male black 25-30 years old, 600/220 lbs, wearing gray shorts, gray T shirt, Gray cap, wearing sunglasses. He was armed with a blue steel pistol.
#2 Male black 25-30 years old, 508/160lbs, carrying a green backpack.
The victim reported that the suspects stole approximately $15,000.00 in cash and food stamps. No shots were fired and no injuries were reported.
