Arrest of Attempted Murder Suspect

Riverside, Ca-  On 10-30-02 at 12:00 pm, officers from the Riverside Police Department responded to 5022 Hedrick Ave. to serve an arrest warrant of an attempted murder suspect wanted by the City of Orange Police Department. The suspect was considered armed and dangerous.

Officers from the City of Orange Police Department requested the assistance of the Riverside Police Department after receiving information that the suspect was at the home of relatives living at the Hedrick address. Officers from both agencies responded to the address, surrounded the house and called the occupants out. The suspect exited the house and was taken into custody without incident. The suspect, Alonso Leeroy Hernandez 23 years old, was transported to Orange Police Department for follow up investigation.
