Riverside, Ca- At approximately 1:30 PM today a traffic collision occurred on Central Ave at Arch Way. A 1980 Chevy truck driven by Edgar Gonzales (24) of Riverside, Ca. crossed Central Av. from northbound Arch Wy. A 1991 Buick driven by Sandra Valker (51) of Riverside was eastbound Central Av. approaching Arch Wy.
The truck pulled across Central Av., not seeing the Buick and they collided. A passenger in the Buick, Thelma Valker (78) also of Riverside, suffered possible fractures to both legs.
Thelma Valker was removed from the vehicle by members of the Riverside Fire Department. She was transported to Riverside Community Hospital where she was treated by the emergency room staff.
The collision is being investigated by the Riverside Police Department Major Accident Investigation (MAIT) Team.
