Riverside, Ca- On Thursday, April 10, 2003,
at approximately 11:28 pm, officers from the Riverside Police Department
responded to the city of Corona to contact the victim of a possible rape that
occurred in the City of Riverside. Investigators from the Riverside Police
Department’s Sexual Assault Child Abuse Unit later responded and arrested
32-year-old William Clayton Bragg of Murrieta for forcible rape. Bragg is an
active-duty Marine, assigned to recruiting duties in Riverside.
The assault took place at the United States Marine Corp Recruiting Office
located in the 10400 block of Magnolia Avenue, Riverside. The identity of the
17-year-old victim shall remain undisclosed due to the nature of the crime and
the victim’s age. Bragg was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for
one count of 261(a)(2) PC Forcible Rape.
