Chief Russ Leach will be hosting a Mid-Term Open House on Tuesday, December
16, 2003 at the Lincoln Avenue Police Station, 8181 Lincoln Avenue from 10:00 am
to 12:00 pm. The open house will feature the departmentís progress in
accomplishing the goals set forth in the 2001 Stipulated Judgment with the State
of California Attorney Generals Office.
This event is not open to the public. Invitations were sent to law enforcement and government officials throughout the State of California. Over 100 dignitaries statewide are planning on attending this event. Some of those scheduled to attend include California State Attorney General Bill Lockyer, Congressman Ken Calvert, Riverside City Manager George Caravahlo, Riverside Mayor Ron Loveridge, Riverside City Council members and retired Los Angeles Police Chief Daryl Gates. Attorney General Bill Lockyer and Riverside Police Chief Russ Leach will make comments about the departmentís progress in meeting the reform requirements in the stipulated judgement.
