Female Suspect Arrested at Border Checkpoint

Riverside, Ca-  On Saturday February 8, 2003 members of the United States Customs Service arrested the previously identified robbery suspect, Noell Hewitt, 21, of Riverside. The arrest was made at the San Ysidro border crossing.

Ms. Hewitt has been identified as the suspect in a series of armed robberies occurring throughout the City of Riverside. Detectives had developed information that she may be traveling to Mexico. Detectives contacted the Inland Robbery Apprehension Team who coordinated the investigation with the United States Customs Service. The arrest made without incident.

Ms. Hewitt was transported to Riverside and subsequently booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for armed robbery.
