Possible Suicide

Riverside, Ca-  At approximately 10:57 pm on January 21, 2003, officers responded to the area of Riverside Avenue and the railroad tracks regarding a collision between a train and a pedestrian. Officers were told that the pedestrian was sitting on the railroad tracks as an eastbound train approached his direction. The pedestrian made no attempt to get out of the way of the train prior to impact. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. Personnel from the Coroner’s Office responded to the scene to conduct their investigation of the incident. The identification of the pedestrian could not be established at this time.
