Riverside, Ca- On Monday, June 2, 2003 at approximately 8:50 am, officers from the Riverside Police Department were dispatched to the 4100 block of Chestnut Street reference a 5 year old girl that had possible been abducted. The victim’s father told officers he last saw his daughter at approximately 1:30 am. At approximately 8:30 am, the father found the daughter missing from the residence.
The missing juvenile is identified as follows:
Anabella Jade Clark 6/29/97
Female, White 5 years old
3 feet tall 40 pounds
She has light brown hair that goes to the middle of her back.
She was last seen wearing a pink pajama shirt, with Scooby Doo on the front and has a scar over her right eyebrow.
The person suspected of abducting Anabella Clark is her father’s roommate. He is identified as:
Charles William Mix, (aka “Bill”)
Male, White 48 years old
Long gray shoulder length hair with a black and gray beard.
A white GMC Panel Van with a license plate of
“5F56303” was found abandoned in the parking lot of a bus station in the 3900
block of University Avenue. The bus station is utilized by Greyhound and the
local Riverside Transit Agency. The vehicle is registered to the suspect,
Charles William Mix. The suspect is considered to be “possibly” armed and
dangerous.
An “Amber Alert” has been initiated with the assistance of the California
Highway Patrol. Anyone with information regarding the location of the victim
and/or suspect is asked to call the Riverside Police Department at (909)
320-8021. If it is an emergency, immediately call 9-1-1.
