On Sunday October 19, 2003 at approximately
2:00 A.M. Riverside Police officers responded to the area of Madison Avenue and
Peters Street after several residents called 911 and reported the sounds of
gunshots. The officers located an 18 year-old Riverside man who had sustained at
least one gunshot wound. He was transported to Riverside Community Hospital
where he later died. The Riverside County Sheriff Coroner’s Office will release
the man’s identity after his family is notified.
Police closed Peters Street for several hours as investigators collected
evidence at the crime scene.
