On Saturday, September 20, 2003, the Riverside
Police Department’s Traffic Education Unit will host their 6th Annual Traffic
Safety Fair at Castle Park, located at 3500 Polk Street in Riverside. The event
will run from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The Traffic Safety Fair is partially funded through a grant by the California
Kids Plate Program and will focus on educational fun for the entire family. Some
of the participating agencies will include the Riverside Fire Department,
California Highway Patrol, Mothers Against Drunk Driving and many more. Face
painting, child safety seat classes and bicycle helmet clinics will also be
available. Free drawings will be held throughout the day and participants will
have a chance to win bicycles, skateboards, train sets and gift certificates.
