John Program Nets Arrests
 

Riverside, Ca-  On Wednesday September 24, 2003 the Riverside Police Department conducted a “John Program” in the area of University and Chicago in the City of Riverside. Members of the Vice Unit, University Neighborhood Enforcement Team and Field Operations Division conducted the operation which, targeted subjects who solicit prostitutes for sex.

The program lasted approximately five hours and resulted in the arrests of ten subjects. All ten of the subjects were men who were issued citations and released at the scene.

The Riverside Police Department views prostitution as a quality of life issue for the residents and businesses on the Eastside of Riverside; this program is part of an on going investigation.  The Riverside Police Department will continue to address the issue of prostitution by conducting further “John Programs” as well as arrest of prostitutes in this area.
