Riverside, Ca- Effective Monday January 24,
2005, former Communication Bureau Manager Cherie Curzon returned to work as the
Riverside Police Department’s Community Affairs Manager. This new position is
assigned to the Office of the Chief and is responsible for department community
relations programs. In her new position, Cherie will have management oversight
of the departments Citizens Academy Program, Public Education, Special Events
and Community Based Programs.
Cherie has worked for the police department for over thirty-two years and has
played an active and valuable role in the community for more than two decades.
Cherie is a board member of the Riverside YWCA, Rape Crisis Center, as well as
an active member and past president of the Sunshine Rotary Club. Through her
community involvement and leadership, Cherie has earned a public identity of
trust and respect, which will serve her well in her new position.
