Riverside, Ca- On September 14, 2005, at about 3 p.m., officers from the Riverside Police Department responded to the 9200 block of Sunridge to investigate a report of an unconscious 22-month old female child. Residents called 911 when they found the child entangled in a window blind cord. Detectives interviewed the residents of the house including the child’s parents and do not suspect foul play; however, Child Protective Services has been notified and the investigation is ongoing.

Riverside Fire Department personnel were on scene and treating the child when officers arrived. The child was subsequently taken via ambulance to Riverside County Regional Medical Center where she remains in critical condition.
