Man Killed in Altercation
 

Riverside, Ca-  On Saturday, April 17, 2004 at 5:03 a.m. Riverside Police Officers responded to a residence in the 3200 block of Tangerine Way after receiving a 911 emergency call reporting unknown trouble. When officers arrived a man whom they identified as Harlan Ignacio Otero, 38, of Riverside, met them. Officers learned Otero had been involved in an altercation with an adult male inside the residence. When officers entered the residence, they found a 51-year-old Rancho Cucamonga man unconscious in a bedroom. He was transported via ambulance to Riverside Community Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Detectives arrested Otero for a narcotics related offense and a parole violation and booked him into the Robert Presley Detention Center.

The Riverside County Sheriff Coroner will release the victim’s identity after his family has been notified. The investigation is on going and the details of the homicide and Otero’s relationship to the victim are not being released at this time.
