Riverside, Ca-  A 17 year-old Riverside boy died at his home late Saturday night after the gun he was holding discharged. Investigators responded to the scene and interviewed several of the boy’s teenage friends who were at the house when the shooting occurred. Witnesses described the shooting as accidental.

The shooting occurred at approximately 11:30 P.M. in the 8500 block of Lodgepole Lane.

The Riverside County Sheriff Coroners Office will release the boy’s name.
