Riverside, Ca- On Wednesday, June 9, 2004, the Riverside Police Departments Vice Unit along with Investigators from the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control conducted a" Decoy Program" in the City of Riverside. 20 businesses were checked for sales of alcohol to a minor. A total of 4 people were arrested for Business and Professions code 25658(a) Sales of An Alcoholic Beverage To A Minor. The businesses that sold alcohol to a minor were as follows:
Western Liquor, 1875 University Avenue
Pat's Liquor, 3654 First Street
Sav-A-Minit Market, 3225 Market Street
Cavalier Liquor, 4068 Tyler Avenue
The goal of this project is to reduce the illegal sales of alcohol to minors through education, information and enforcement. During this time of high school and college graduations, the Riverside Police Department encourages businesses to be responsible and not to sell alcohol to minors.
