Major Injury Traffic Collision

Vehicle Black/1992 Nissan Truck

Riverside CA -  The driver of the 1992 Nissan truck was E/B Indiana from Jackson approaching Monroe. The bicycle rider was attempting to cross Indiana from south to north just west of Monroe. On Indiana approximately 50’ west of Monroe the bicycle and vehicle collided. The bicycle rider was carried a distance before the vehicle was able to come to a stop.

The bicycle rider was treated at the scene by members of the Riverside Fire Department and transported to Riverside Community Hospital (RCH). The bicycle rider suffered head, upper torso trauma and unknown internal injuries. He was admitted to RCH in serious condition.

The investigation is being conducted by the Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) of the Traffic Division of the Riverside Police Department.
