Riverside, Ca- On Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at 1:14 pm, officers from the
Riverside Police Department responded to Union Bank located in the 3400 block of
10th Street in the City of Riverside in regard to a bank robbery. Information
was relayed that a male suspect entered the bank and handed a note to a teller
asking for money. The male suspect left the bank and fled in what was described
as a blue newer model vehicle. The vehicle description and license plate number
were broadcast over the police radio.
At approximately 1:23 pm, a Riverside Police officer observed the described
vehicle traveling westbound on the 91 Freeway near Adams Street. As additional
officers arrived on scene, the vehicle exited the freeway and stopped in the
southwest parking lot of the Galleria at Tyler.
Mike Solorzano, 26 years old from Riverside and Gina Yvette Galindo, 18 years
old from Rosemead were taken into custody without incident. Both were charged
with Robbery (211 P.C.) and booked into the Riverside County Jail.
No one was injured during the robbery or apprehension of the suspects.
